I don’t think so. Is he the sort of chap I would know? In fact I am sure I don’t know anyone called clive - Does he have a nomme de football or nickname? Most of the chaps I used to hangaround with were essex/herts boys. There were an awful lot of us though. ---

Well he was certainly one of the chaps way back. Someone told me recently he still goes. I remember him in the Charlton goalmouth during play in the season we went down. Millwall decided to introduce themselves prior to an official fixtue and it spilt over. All sorts of nonsense in the netting . . . Nice bloke though, Clive. Big blonde-haired lump. How about Brendon and that guy with the squashed nose. Ok, and the one-armed black guy, Sammy ? ---

West Ham tried to do it the week after too. That was the closest the shelf ever got to being “taken” “that guy with the squashed nose” is not that big a help under the circs…is he pals with the fellah with the beer gut? I am sure I would rememebr a one armed black lad, all the black lads I knew (Sean L and his mob) were fully armed. In all senses. Still, back then there were three big firms - Yids; N17 and the THFC Boys (shelf; park lane and paxton respectively), plus an all black firm that had a very non PC name. ---

Well, today was my first visit to Glasgow in the new season, and what a visit it was. The last time Livingston visited it was such a dire game that the worst player in hoops (Momo Sylla, natch) got MOTM just for accidentally knocking the ball into the goal, so to say I was looking forward to this game would have been a slight overstatement. But we had a comfortable 5-1 win, and I do mean “comfortable” - we could easily have had a few more, and that’s not even counting the missed penalty. Livi were poor, but we played some great stuff. Highlights galore in this game: newest defender Varga finally coming into form, Lennon coming back to form, Johnny Hartson (he’s got no hair, but we don’t care) coming back, another outstanding performance from Boy Wonder Miller, decent shifts from even the average/donkey players and a Larsson hat-trick to boot. Reminded me why I’m a Celtic supporter, so it did. Still won’t excuse the board for not signing any new players, though :mad: ---

Sounds enourmous fun and I’m genuinely pleased for you **ruadh** , but in a speechless kind of way. I just don’t know what to say about yesterday. It’s times like this I remember why I can’t really buy a season ticket. I know it’s cowardly but I just can’t take that kind of disappointment knowing there’s another 17 games to go, and whether it’s £4 or £40 a pop. Just desperately disappointed . . Anyway, enjoy Larsson while you can! ---

We’ve taken Michael Gray on a 4 month loan… and there are alot of rumors about Rivaldo. Probably tosh but it certainly put a samba in my step for the last few days. and Liam Miller is class. ---

Well it may not last, but Swansea are top of Div.3. Can’t stop scoring at the moment, unlike last season. After Mansfield had 6 players booked and 2 sent off, Keith Curle (Mansfield manager) blamed the ref. for “losing it.” This, after Izzy (Taffy) Iriekpen was bitten by their striker.
