I still can’t believe there are people that really don’t think Obama is a U.S. citizen. I mean Dopers have been talking about it for a while, but I can’t help but shake this feeling everybody’s trying to pull a colossal prank on me. Like seriously, people have lost touch with reality to this extent? Yeah right guys, I’m sure you’ve got a bridge to sell me too. (FWIW, my uncle was born in the exact same hospital as Obama, and his birth certificate looks exactly like Obama’s, only with a totally different name!!! Clear evidence of fakery.) ---

Birthers can’t seem to grasp the simple concept that since they are making the accusations, the burden of proof is on them. And all they have is nutty theories and zero in the way of facts or evidence. Anyone supporting this bullshit is either a partisan consumed with hatred or a dumb-as-a-rock simpleton. Or, in Ivan’s case, a troll. I don’t believe his involvement in that cluster-fuck of a thread was serving any aim beyond his personal amusement. ---

As an outside observer of that thread, it was amazing how dense **Don123** appeared to be, all of the evidence presented to him and all blatantly ignored. Of course that’s what I have seen from most of the Birther’s ranting. As for **Susanann** , she was no better than talking to a walnut. Her little grape of a brain rolling around in her cranium apparently was over come by the arguments presented and dropped out early. To much evidence and information for her to process. I also believe that little grape exploded, which will eventually re-coalesce. She will than take her beliefs to a newspaper comment section where there is less resistance. As for **Ivan** , it appears he’s just poking at it with a stick for amusement. ---
