I don’t have such a fetish nor do I know anyone personally that’s admitted such a fetish. But I was curious if people that have foot and toe fetishes get aroused by seeing so many exposed feet and toes during the summer months with people going bare foot or wearing flip-flops. Is it like being at a strip club all day long with no cover or drink minimum? ---

I was listening to a talk show with a sex therapist and she was talking about either a patient or someone she was casually talking to that had such a severe foot fetish that summer was basically like what you said. He compared it to a ‘normal’ person going outside to find half the females topless all summer. She said that he didn’t consider this a good thing or a turn on at all either. He spent a lot of summer indoors because he was so embarrassed/ashamed of it. I think he was embarrassed in the sense that he was certain people could tell that he was starting/getting excited by it. ---

IANAFF, but wouldn’t the “meh” factor eventually kick in? Same as nudist colonies, where everyone soon forgets they’re all naked? I’d expect that even if I were transported to some planet where the women all presented like bobanos whenever I walked by, if I lived through the first few weeks without dying of exhaustion I’d become blasé to it all. ---

It kind of is, honestly. When I was a hormone driven teenager it actually was pretty distracting, but I think hormone driven teenagers are easily distracted by tight t-shirts and slightly low cut tops, too. So maybe that’s not saying too much. I’m only 27 now, so still totally interested in sex, but I’ve mellowed out enough to easily ignore exposed feet if I want (i.e. most of the time). But they really are pretty analogous to boobs for a normal guy - it’s a cheap thrill if I want it to be one. ---

Well yes and no. My SO has a foot thing. He likes _well-cared for_ feet. So he does enjoy it when the flip flops come out, but it would be like if Grannies wandered through the strip club in g-strings. Just because there’s feet exposed doesn’t necessarily = huge turn on. Not just any old foot will do. Think of it this way: does _every_ single stripper turn you on, or just the ones who have the features _you_ like? Consider the feet you might encounter at WalMart compared to the feet you might encounter at a spring break beach. All feetz are not equal. That said, for him, I think, it’s the same as guys who are into boobs. Just because the strappy tank tops are trotted out, doesn’t mean they’re going to ogle and look and be obnoxious about it. (They _might_, but not necessarily.) Discretion is applied, in general, regardless of which body part happens to be your turn on. I think the “meh” factor does come into play here. ---

A foot fetishist may enjoy the sight of so many naked feet in the summertime but he (or she) isn’t going to get the same thrill somebody else would experience seeing naked breasts in a strip club. People, even foot fetishists, are used to seeing feet in public.
