For Republicans: Will you be upset if your state drops the Primary?

Calling Donna Brazile!

As posited by OP (and bandied about in various news articles), it would not be the legislators making the decision but rather the state party organization. Is there anything in Illinois law that would compel the Republicans to hold a primary or put any particular office on the ballot if the Illinois Republican Party central organization decides they don’t want to?

I agree to both.

Unfortunately eliminating the primary doesn’t help me this time as the system I advocate for POTUS candidate selection (commonly referred to as a "Smoke Filled Back Room") results with the same candidate because the Republican bosses are hell bent on riding the Trump express all the way to the greatest train wreck in American political history.

Getting obliterated in November of 2020 is too good for Donny Boy. That incompetent, delusional, backstabbing fucktard should have his narcissistic ego crushed before hand by having the party completely abandon him like an old Eskimo on an ice floe.
