…walked up to you and asked you to come home for a threesome, would you? After finding [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=547175&highlight=promiscuity) I wondered if the responses would be different if you doubled the bait… So single straight guys, the question is–if two average women walked into a bar and walked right up to you and asked you to come home with them for a threesome, would you say yes, no, or maybe? Assume that they are average in attractiveness and in all other aspects. How you define “average” is up to you, of course, but remember–these women are average average. In other words, they’d score a 5 on the proverbial 1-10 scale. As for how to define “single”…well, I have no idea. Let’s define it as having no agreement to be monogamous at the moment. ---

I vote yes, so long as average doesn’t include physical metrics and merely is my subjective impression of the 2 ladies. (with the proviso that this is hypothetical me, and not already-committed me) ---

Truthfully, it probably depends on how sober (or not) I happen to be at the time. If sober, I’d possibly be suspicious. If drunk, eh, what the hell…I might go for it. Of course, in the morning, as my mangled corpse drifts slowly downstream, I’d likely regret that decision. ---

I answered yes the first time around since I think there are single women of average attractiveness that will come on to me. Hell, just happened this weekend but two women wanting to take me home for a threesome just screams mugging or home invasion. OF course if I was drunk this likely wouldn’t matter. I went with the maybe option in this poll since I can see a situation where I would take them up on it if anything though I’d think doubling the bait makes it more likely that guys will see it as bait. ---

Are we talking some theoretical guarantee that I won’t wake up robbed, missing a kidney, HIV positive, and on the hook for child support payments? (That’s actually the optimistic version of my usual fears—I didn’t even bring up “fed on by Vampires” or “end up as a photograph tacked on a map at an FBI taskforce”) ---

I answered yes, but that answer is predicated on a couple of things. 1. I’m nearly 100% certain that they’re not going to cut me up into tiny chuncks, and 2. Though they are average, there’s something that I find attractive about both of them. ---

Three ways are overrated. It’s one of those things that sounds awesome in theory but in practice, at least for me, they have been underwhelming. So the answer is no now but before I tried it the answer would have been yes. 🙂 ---

Nope. But that’s because I don’t sleep with strangers period. If I did, I’d be much more tempted by this offer than the last one. If they were gorgeous, I’d be more worried that it was a scam. Either way, I’d stll say no, but I’d probably be beating myself up afterward. ---
