Then your phone has a “transfer” button. As long as you do it fast, you should be able to transfer the fax to your office fax number. Then call your fax room and ask what just came in, call the offender, and give them holy hell. (Our IT department is the same way. My phone beeps intermittently for no apparent reason. Maybe once an hour or so. It’s unbelievably annoying, but IT won’t even believe it’s happening, let alone try to fix it). ---

We had this happen at our house - everyday at the same time we would get a fax call on our phone. We figured maybe after a couple days they would get the hint that their faxes weren’t going through and see the error of their ways. But, no. So we let the PC answer the call, received the fax - no phone number on it - but we had the fax # and my wife sent a rather, um, rudely worded message to them telling them to stop it and get a clue. We never had another problem. ---

For months now, the number 6 has been paging me. Odd times of the day and night; 1:30am, 6pm, whenever. The pager goes off, and there it is. 6. Especially annoying at 4am. Recently, though, things have changed. Apparently 6 has gotten tired of me not returning its pages, so it stopped. Now number 8 is paging me. Even greater. ---

This happened to me a lot at 9am every morning while trying to sleep after working nights. I finally got the pc to pick it up and it turns out it was some business faxing a bank. I called them and let them know they were using the wrong number and the idiot argues that “No. This is the right number.” Then why the fuck am I receiving the fax?
