Today (23 January) is a big day for SDMB memes. I remember as a little kid reading about this and seeing pics of the vessel, which looked a little like a submarine. So, I thought it was basically a ‘strongly built’ sub. Then, as an adult, I found out that no, these guys were cramped into that tiny little ball under the ‘sub.’ Definitely not for the faint of heart or claustrophobic. ---
