They do this to piss off other people. Say you just bought a Ford pickup and are driving it home and you see a Chevy at the stoplight with the traditional peeing Calvin. You might get angry and offended, which is the intent of the sticker. Of course if you know better, you’ll just blow it off as nothing much different from those who defile their vehicles with bumper stickers. And if you know even better than that, you’ll trade it in for a Dodge. (I’m kidding, geez!) ---

Same reason people have the Darwin Fish bumper sticker, or the God Fish eating the Darwin Fish. ---

Chevy, Ford and Dodge essentially match models and prices; if you decide that you want a particular body style, engine and transmission, you can usually get something very close to it from all three manufacturers. - You also see a disproportionate amount of “stickers”, “aftermarket radios” and “aftermarket wheels” among this group. ~ -“This car is okay, but it just needs somethin’, somethin’ custom, -like, maybe this “Bad Boyz n Bad Toyz” sticker… Oh yea! Hmm… I don’t know if I should be offended yet or not. I drive a Chevy truck. No aftermarket stuff other than a bed cover. I do think Doug is right, there is little difference between the major brands of trucks, but I got a GM for two reasons. First, it just felt right when I drove it. Second, my family has historically purchased more GM’s than anything else (my uncle worked there, so the discount for the immediate family members helped, but alas, I’m not immediate enough). The only sticker I’m considering putting in is the “Keep honking I’m reloading” sticker. ---

Just this afternoon I saw a guy driving a Chevy w/ one of these stickers on the back window. The catch was that he himself was driving a Chevy. Apparently, even he realizes how garbage his car is. ---
