Nope, none there either … So, are there any chances at all that any of you are every going to focus your attentions on beating McCain? Since Hillary’s been “finally forked” for months now, that is, as you are so certain. I know all this gleeful RO is just so much fun for some of you that you can hardly stand it, but some of us do think preventing a continuation of Bush’s policies is just a little more significant a problem for the nation and the world. Perhaps some day you’ll come to think so too. But it looks pretty damn doubtful at this point. ---

If that’s the case, why is it more important to tip the board and go into a sulk instead of conceding the game to Obama and moving forward? ---

It is astounding how rude, barbaric, and obnoxious Hillary’s flying monkeys were. They would not stop their heckling and booing even when the grandson of Franklin Fucking Roosevelt told them that they were reflecting poorly on her. And Harold Ickes? He should be excommunicated from the party. His take-your-unity-and-shove-it-up-your-ass speech betrays the fact that he and his candidate have no interest in the party’s welfare, or in the welfare of the nation for that matter. All that matters to them is their own petty pursuits. Are there any more bridges these people can burn? ---

It has been over for weeks. She will. not. be. the. candidate. Period. That doesn’t mean she can’t destroy the party’s chances by being recalcitrant, delusional, disingenuous and vengeful. All the determination on our part to ignore her failed candidacy will be for nothing if she insists on making the rest of the summer about her, because we do not control the media. And the media love a horserace. She needs to watch herself, though. She can be vengeful and so can we. If she takes this to the convention, she will find herself out in the cold in 2012. She will be primaried, she will be outvoted, and she will be gone. Her future as any sort of force in politics is hanging in the balance right now. If her attempts to claw her way to the nomination destroy our best chance to get the presidency since 1996, with the best nominee we’ve had since 1996, she will pay politically. ---

Demconwatch has been updated, and Obama needs only 64 to win. After the gutter-snipe antics of Hillary’s supporters today, I wouldn’t be a bit surprised to see the superdelegate floodgates open as soon as the polls close in Montana and South Dakota. Maybe they’re even so disgusted as to just go ahead and declare. ---

It’s clear that Hillary can’t win and has been for a while - so long as Obama keeps up what he’s done and keeps fighting. Just because Obama didn’t stop campaigning months ago doesn’t mean that the fight practically wasn’t over. Really, you should just accept it and stop with this ridiculous stuff. I thought that’s what you’d done, given your absense from it. People like you and DrDeth have only hurt Clinton with your support. ---
