Additionally, she announced she is giving a speech after the Primaries Tuesday night. If that’s not her last hurrah with a huge party and everyone in the room jumping up and down singing it’s all finally over, I don’t know what is. I expect if Obama has the superdelegates or not she’ll concede during that speech. Nice and clean…
Don’t forget what someone said on page 27!

On Chris Matthews’ Hardball this afternoon, Andrea Mitchell reported that a block of 34 members of the House of Representatives are prepared to announce for Obama either tomorrow (Tuesday) or early Wednesday morning. Those, combined with Tuesday’s delegates would put him over the top.
So does Bill Clinton saying that he has campaigned his last mean he won’t stump for Obama in the fall?
I’m sure he will, but it won’t be at the same level.
Andrea Mitchell is just a fountain today. She reports the Democratic governors from 28 states (which means all the Democratic governors) will be meeting with Obama in Chicago in the middle of June to discuss strategies for the general.
The House leaders have called for a vote, and she explains that to House members that means get off your ass and act now. The Obama people say that either Tuesday or Wednesday is fine by them, but internally they prefer Wednesday because it stretches the story a little longer (taking attention from McCain).
At any rate, Mitchell says it’s all over by Wednesday.
ETA:
I’d like to take this opportunity to reiterate the respect and admiration I have expressed so many times for the Clintons and their campaign. She is a tireless figher and a great American. And we welcome her people with open arms.
High-fives EddyTeddyFreddy right back!
Today’s tally: Obama 4.5, Clinton 2
We’re almost there, folks!
She fought like a goddamn demon, that’s for sure. She’d probably be a hell of an attorney. If you need to collect back child support from a deadbeat dad, Hillary would hound him to the ends of the earth. If you were on trial for murder, she’d stop at nothing to get you off, whether you were guilty or not, and she wouldn’t let a little thing like “ethics” get in her way.
Seriously, there’s something to be said for her tenacity and toughness. If she ever got kidnapped by terrorists, I suspect it would not end well for the terrorists.
I liked Hillary once and I have it in my heart to like her again.
What’s that overhead?
She can go along way towards rebuilding good will tomorrow night if she gives a whole hearted, unqualified endorsement to her party’s nominee.
She’s a good egg. Let’s all give her a big band.
And the 31st anniversary of my birth. I’m publicly declaring right now - he can use this angle in his speech if he wants. I won’t mind.
You know, for a little while today I was feeling a slight bit of melancholy, a teeny bit sad for Hillary, because in spite of having a very low opinion of her based on her behavior during this campaign, I realize how disappointed and sad she must feel. I recall feeling this same way at some earlier point in the campaign, too. But it was extremely short-lived, as she almost immediately pulled some other reprehensible stunt and every ounce of compassion I had for her went right out the window.
Ditto today, only this time it’s her jerk of a husband.
I am SO glad she’s finally about to be fully forked and we won’t have to put up with this kind of nasty crap anymore. Did Bill forget we’re heading into a General Election now? Does he give a rat’s ass about anyone but himself and his wife? That article had nothing whatsoever to do with Barack Obama, but that, too, just like Florida and Michigan, are all his fault. I cannot wait for these people to GO AWAY.
And the 45th anniversary of mine. It’s always been extremely cool to have been born on the day of the “I Have A Dream” speech and the March on Washington – I get goosebumps thinking about Obama accepting the nomination on my birthday.
Clyburn has some pull, should be able to bring a few with him.
I’m starting to think this thing will be over this week rather than next.
Wednesday morning, done – whether Hillary chooses to gracefully participate or not.
