What Daniel said, Elvis. I’m not saying you think the Will of the People has changed twice in two days. But one of the recurring debates surrounding this campaign, as you know, is whether the supers have any business overriding the will of the primary voters.
And I don’t know your thoughts, I’m afraid. So I have no idea whether you’re strictly joking, or whether you’re trying to make a point, in the guise of humor, about the futility of trying to read that will. That’s why I asked.
And for those who obsess over the noise of daily tracking, today Gallup has Obama back up in national Dem tracking by 7 and Rasmussen by 5. Doubt that that will warrant articles though.
Gangster Octopus, I started a GD thread on this mini-bombshell already, but I see you beat me by one minute :). I was going to post it here, but it seemed to deserve a thread all its own.
This morning’s news showed snippets of new Clinton and Obama commericals that have just begun to air this week. Clinton’s featured Truman’s “if you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen” quote. Does this strike anyone else as eye-rolling considering her own statement “I suppose I could have stayed home and baked cookies”?
This election must end soon. I am continually in danger of being politically incorrect at my workplace. There are TV monitors on all over the place, and I tend to involuntarily let out a snort of disgust whenever Hillary appears on the screen.
Worse, there was a puff story on one of the morning shows airing in the docs’ lounge showing the First Lady and Jenna Bush, with the headline at the bottom of the screen “Laura and Jenna Bush Battle Illiteracy”. For some reason this made me burst out laughing.
It gets worse. As Olbermann showed last night, she’s using the text of that commercial, verbatim, in her stump speech. Guess we should give her points for her ability to stay “on message”.
