Fork Hillary 3: The Final Forking

I feel the same way.

I feel like the only thing that will stop Hillary now is if the fat lady picks up a fork and stabs her with it.

You were born after Reagan?
ETA: GWB?

I think a wooden stake may be required.

None of the aforementioned (or in luci’s case, insinuated) has anywhere near the Clinton’s history or reputation for dishonesty. The Clintons are virtually defined by it, so much so that for Hillary simply to tear up before the cameras launches a national debate as to whether or not her tears were real. Hillary and Bill both lie so much and so often and so blatantly that people have come to expect it from them. They lie so much that even their own supporters get turned off by it and speak out – ala David Geffen – about how troubling it is.

None of the presidents mentioned have anywhere near this kind of reputation. Nixon didn’t, Reagan didn’t and GWB doesn’t. There were times when Nixon clearly lied, times when Reagan was alleged to have lied (and other times when he most likely did), and GWB’s alleged big lie is just that…alleged. I’m sure Kennedy, Johnson and Bush, Sr. may well have lied from time to time also.

But there is a big difference between someone who lies occasionally and someone who lies habitually. The Clintons even lie when there’s nothing to be gained by it. One gets the feeling that they believe that, all things being equal, it’s better to lie.

Their many other moral and character flaws aside, I stand by my assertion that the Clintons are the most blatant, prolific and shameless liars that American politics has ever seen.

Yours is a unique persepective.

Nah, we’ve from many with that POV. You want a unique perspective? Here’s a unique perspective!

She’s referring to herself in the third person now? Freaky.

-Joe

(That was Bill speaking.)

 I was referring to Richard Nixon the president. I sure don’t know which Nixon you’re talking about.

Apparently Cynthia Nixon from Sex and the City.

Okay, a little less freaky, then.

-Joe

I’ve started a thread about this. Your presence is welcome.

Obama was gracious in handling Hillary’s RFK-assassination gaffe. Good on him. When she’s pushing the nomination further and further away from herself, don’t get in the way.

Now Hillary is backpedalling on her apology about the RFK assassination comment. Good God woman, let it go. Obama has graciously forgiven you, and now you are pinning the blame on his campaign. I used to respect you, but I’m starting to suspect you actually are truly deluded.

Jimmy Carter is now saying publicly that Hillary will have to quit. Story here.

I think it’s more like a symptom of the zero-sum game mentality of the people surrounding her. It’s impossible for them to be gracious, or accept graciousness, when they have this mentality that anyone who opposes them is a sworn enemy, and they can’t afford the slightest concession to the enemy.

Here’s the link in case somebody wants to look at it in half an hour:

Ah yes. Thanks.

Obama gained 6 superdelegates this weekend to Hillary’s 1.

In pledged delegates, Obama gained 1 and Hillary lost 1.

They changed the date in the URL since last night. Try this.
