# Former NY Giant gets 30 year prison sentence!!

Wow. A question for any lawyerly types that might read this, what sort of term would he be facing were the probation violating felony to have occurred in a blue state?

I would not be surprised if the fact that the crime occurred while Meggett was on probation for another sexual offense factored into the sentence.

I liked Meggett as a player. It does appear that he is a creep, alas.

Aww, I really liked him when he played for the Pats. Sounds like he is not a nice guy though.

When I read the thread title I thought “Why don’t you just say ‘Lawrence Taylor’?” Fished in!

Retired in 98, and in trial for sexual assault in 2000. Did not take him long to set an unsavory pattern. He got saved by a well hung jury.
