Are they bringing back Murray Walker? Please say yes.
And yes, that guitar/bass solo thing in the middle of The Chain is the best minute and a half in the history of music.

AFAIK, the answer is No. However, they did snag just-retired F1 driver David Coulthard.
To be honest, and while I firmly believe he was pretty much the only thing that made the sport good back when it was, well, good, I don’t really think bringing him back to live commentary would be a smart move. He’s 85, and even by his own standards had trouble keeping up with things back before his retirement.
Mind you, should he live to 150 he’ll still be a better commentator than James Allen. And probably after that, too.
I followed F1 for many years, starting from way back in the mid '70s but I don’t have cable any more and haven’t found a good online source to watch the races so I’m less aware of the details than I used to be–but it’s still the greatest sport on earth and if I ever win the lottery I’m going to get tickets to an entire season. That figures highly on my bucket list!
This is my favorite F1 photo–this is from the 2001 Italian Grand Prix and I’ve had to find this picture about a bazillion times. Before I had a wide display this was almost always my wallpaper, which was a bit of a problem back when I worked for GM! That would be Michael Schumacher in the Ferrari, duh…
