# Forum observations

This is just a quick note detailing a few of the observations I’ve made at this forum, amoung others:
Primarily, you can judge a thread by the ratio of views/posts it has. Threads average about 10 views for every post they get. Threads below this average are the “hot” threads, more people than usual have an opinion they need to share. Threads greatly above 10 v/p are often either crap threads, that no one wants to post in, or formerly hot threads, where a good portion of the onlookers/people involved are merely checking in to see if anyone else said anything juicy.
Just a couple of the guidelines I go by, for any newbies who would like to know.

The quantity of numeric digits at the end of a username increases proportionally to the likelihood of the user being a troll (there are notable exceptions to this principle)

Just an observation (and as I said, not a concrete one), I don’t see any numbers at the end of your name, **joeee** , is someone else being offended with you as the proxy?

I don’t see anyone being rude here.
Of course, since I am a clique robot, I generally agree with clique members(High post counts can be correlated with people the clique like).

I’d venture that calling two people trolls on an otherwise innocuous thread qualifies as rude.
Perhaps you two are forgetting the rules about taking such accusations to the mods, rather than hijacking threads to do so.

Who called who a troll? I didn’t see any specific accusations in this thread. I did see one generalized trend, but not an accusation.

Accusations of trolling are a little too flagrant on this board as it is. The last thing we need is a “general observation” on how to prejudge someone as a troll. (Not saying **Mangetout** was being rude, but in my opinion, that particular post is counterproductive.)

I see **Mangetout** saying that people with multiple numbers in their name are more likely to be trolls.
Neither of those two members have a number in their name, so how is he accusing them of trollery?
