At least while there is football we don’t hear as much about the interminably boring baseball (Pitchers and catchers report when? the season is 9 months loing and then there is the hot stove league) and the absolutely unwatchable NBA. MORE FOOTBALL!!! ---

Thank you for this thread. Im super fuckin pissed because at work people get to wear jeans today if they wore their Buckeye jerseys!! WHOOHOO GO BUCKEYES! Stop it. Its college. And we’re not even IN Columbus for the love of Mike! I don’t own a Buckeye jersey. So no jeans for me. Grrrrrrrrr Could I have bought one, just for today? Yes, I could have. I have the ability to. But that’s not the point, dammit. It seems awfully silly to do so. (Oh and they sent the email notice last Friday at 4:50 pm. So at least I am reveling in the fact that the folks that cut out early on Friday didn’t get to wear their jeans either.) I am a baseball fan. I love watching or listening to baseball. Dont even know if there is pre- or post-game malarky, cause I switch channels once the game is done. I do not own a jersey from any ball club, I do not discuss player stats with co-workers. I could give a shit about who’s supposed to do better than whom this season. I just like watching a game. I don’t need the hype. ---

Columbus is more in Reds territory, although they also have a AAA team (The Clippers, I think they’re called. Made more since when they were affiliated with the Yankees I guess). ---
