First of all, I am not a right-winger and never have been. I meant only that there is a strong anti-cop sentiment running within _some circles_ of radical left-wingers. And, of course, radical right-wingers too. But the radical left-wingers are the people I have the most experience with. I knew people in college who, if this incident had happened at the time, would have said, “fuck yeah, man! I’m glad those fuckin’ cops got shot!” Note that I say would _have_ said, because people often grow out of this sort of attitude. Second Stone, I’d like a good and reasonable criticism of what I said that offends you so much, rather than just insults (I guess the latter is what you get when the moderators move a debate to the Pit because they’re too lazy to actually moderate it.) I swear I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole. Where else on this planet would it be considered worse to cast aspersions upon liberals than it is to kill four people who were someone’s parents, spouses and children. This place is fucking disgusting sometimes. And this is one of those times. And oh, yeah…who started the practice of calling cops “pigs”? Answer: It wasn’t conservatives. ---

Even if the criticism of what I said was just that it was stupid hyperbole, it’s pretty ridiculous to then make a comparison of even greater hyperbole. I never even said that _cop-haters_ were evil. People have the right to hate cops. I’m not a hero-worshipper of them, nor do I call for their death. But saying that I am _worse than a murderer?_ That I’m _evil?_ Because I said that there is a strong anti-cop sentiment among _radical_ left-wingers? Do you realize how silly that is? Has this debate basically turned into “he made a negative statement about liberals - let’s attack him?” (Maybe you missed the post above where I said there’s also a strong anti-cop sentiment among radical _conservatives_?) ---
