> I was upset enough about the 99 thing, and to hear today that Fox picked up Last Man Standing made it ten times worse. WHY?

Many were wondering why ABC cancelled Last Man Standing. It had 8 million live viewers an episode with little support and advertising from the network. Brooklyn 99 has a little over 2 million. It can be argued that they could have placed it better and supported it more but as a business decision it makes sense to pick one over the other.

I’m looking forward to a Brooklyn Nine-Nine / Law & Order franchise crossover! Dean Winters played a reoccurring character as a detective in both shows. Why not?

> I’ve noticed that comedians can usually do serious roles if they want to, but serious actors cannot necessarily do comedy. Andre Braugher is breaking that mold.

Attributed to every dying British master thespian ever: “Dying is easy. Comedy is hard.”

Andre Braugher’s turn on _Nine-Nine_ reminds me of Leslie Nielsen (a serious actor for decades) breaking out as a comedy powerhouse on _Airplane_ and _The Naked Gun_.

Both played their roles as if they had no idea they were in a comedy; not everybody has the chops to pull that technique off.
