The stories as reported are certainly plausible and I have no trouble believing that Hannity and Carlson would be so crass. But are they actionable events? No idea. ---

It will depend on the advertisers. It’s going to be hard for some mainstream advertisers to remain with the Fox News brand after this – without making some major changes, that is. Sure, the My Pillow guy and random penis pill manufacturers will probably hang in there til the bitter end, but the household product advertisers are probably getting fed up with Fox right about now. ---

Writing books doesn’t offer the same kind of nearly instantaneous positive feedback that being on television does. These folks need the constant hyper-confirmation that being right in front of people who agree with them every single night affords. The repetition helps reinforce their position and message too; you can’t do that with a book. ---

Eh, I doubt anything happens to them (Carlson and Hannity). Not that it isn’t deplorable, but It took a hell of lot more than that to take down Ailes and O’Reilly.
