I totally thought this was going to be like, Rupert Murdoch being evil. I wish we had pics of cute fox babies playing with shoes, though. ---

This is kinda funny, I saw on a tv show over here in Korea there was a small village out in the country and a wild dog was stealing all the shoes. The shoes were strewn all over the hill behind the village. ---

Years ago wnen we lived in upstate New York, my wife left her shoes out on the back patio. One by one, they disapeared. We looked all over without success. Then one day a neighbor was looking for his dog in the woods behind our hosue and came across a huge pile of shoes, half of which were buried. Apparantly his dog had been stealing them from all over the neighborhood and burried them out in the woods. The guy allerted all the neighbors and they and my wife went there and reclaimed most of the shoes that had been stolen. Oddly, the dog had not chewed them up, just had a shoe fetish, I guess. Not as cute a story as the foxes, but still very funny for us. ---

The reason it didn’t occur to me is because I’ve lived in some areas where shoes left outside at night would definitely be stolen, and it wouldn’t be a fox doing the stealing. Even though my current location is more secure in this regard, I’ve carried on with the quaint custom of leaving my shoes in a closet overnight. ---
