# FreakAngels - a good webcomic

I searched and there didn’t appear to be a thread on this.
Like I said, [FreakAngels](http://www.freakangels.com/?p=23) is a good webcomic. Interesting story. Great art. And it updates regularly (always a plus with a webcomic).
I personally came across it in an unusual way. I picked up the first published collection in a comic book store. Then after I read and enjoyed it, I went online to see if I could find anything further on it. That’s when I discovered it was a webcomic.

Whoa, that’s pretty awesome. Read the first few and got hooked pretty quickly. Updates regularly, you say? That sure is a good thing, because I’ve already done my usual “found new webcomic” binge and blasted through the whole archive. 😃

I’ve been into it for awhile (I’m sure I’ve mentioned it in webcomics threads before). It does not \*always \*update as scheduled, though, so it’s not yet threatening _Schlock Mercenary_’s exemplary record. It’s got very good art for a webcomic, though, and steampunky goodness. But I do feel the story drags a bit in places. Not enough that I mind, just enough to notice.
BTW, not a webcomic, but have you checked out Ellis’ concept comic _Fell_?

It updates regularly, Friday noon, their time (is England all Greenwich?), but it doesn’t always update with a comic. Every five or six updates (guessing, here - didn’t count them out) you’ll get a multi-page explanation of why there’s no comic this week, instead. Sometimes there are drawings with it.
A good, solid comic, though. I can’t wait to see what comes next. You just know that there’s a good solid story arc coming at you.

British Summer Time at present, but yes – the UK is all in one timezone. It’s tidier that way;)
My brother introduced me to FreakAngels just last week, so having sprinted through the archives I’ve been waiting eagerly for this week’s update. ::Peeks:: And there it is!

It’s a very interesting comic, and I’m impressed at the update rate. The story seems very promising, but I’m finding it very hard to warm up to some of the characters. They are probably responsible for the deaths of billions of humans and near human extinction, but only a few of them show signs of caring or wanting to actually fix things. I’d like to get more focus on the bigger story related to the 12 too, and less “Woe be me, I have no toilerpaper.”
