I urge you all to, in any way possible, listen to the following song: “It’ll Be a Good Day”, by **Yes**. Holy freaking crap. Holy freaking crap. This was _incredible_. It immediately made me want to stop everything I was doing and pick up an Epistle or a Buddhist scripture and start reading, learning, awakening. And I hate contemplative music. Only, this was really, _really_ good contemplative music. So I ask you, the Teeming Millions- What is your Freaking Awesome Contemplative Music? I’d like to compile a CD that I can meditate to. Equipped with a CD walkman, I could finally pursue my dream of becoming a hermit. ---

Sigur Ros. Anything by Sigur Ros, but especially their latest album, which is, apparently, called **( )**. Seriously. Don’t wait. Buy the album. ---

Hildegard of Bingen. Steve Reich’s _Music for 18 Musicians._ The Grateful Dead’s “Dark Star.” (Version on _Live Dead_ is nice.) Brian Eno’s _Ambient Music; Music For Airports, Thursday Afternoon._ ---

Bach - The Art of Fugue Mozart - Requiem I’ve found these to be helpful, but if you do this at the office you might also want to take along an AC/DC or Kid Rock CD to snap you out of the contemplative state before you hit rush hour. ---

I am getting into some sacred choral stuff. No idea what the hell any of it means, but its great to listen to. One idea to look into for that sort of thing would be **O Magnum Mysterium - Palestrina**
