I don’t think they understand that now that the Dems are employing communication jiu jitsu, every time they try this crap they dig the “we’re a bunch of clueless weirdos” hole a little deeper. And Walz ends up looking even more like America’s dad. They’re bad at this. ---

I think it’s both. Walz seems like an authentic good dude. But the Dems also seem to have abandoned their pearl-clutching, breathless outrage every time a MAGA says something hateful and stupid. They seem to be turning it around, pretty effectively, into a snarky, clever counterattack. “Yeah, those guys are weird.” The communication after Trump’s “press conference.” Etc. ---
