I couldn’t decide which forum to post this in, but since it’s my _opinion_, it ended up here: Browsing [http://www.godhatesfags.com](http://www.godhatesfags.com) (which until fairly recently, I thought was a satirical site (like Landover Baptists)), it strikes me that Mr Phelps’ behaviour and attitude could be interpreted as arising from repressed homosexuality, what do you think? FTR; I’m hetero, married and a christian; I have no ‘agenda’ to push here (except that I think he shouldn’t be allowed to spout such hateful and misinformed tripe) ---

I really ought to leave that site alone, but it’s so utterly weird and frightening, it’s almost compelling, anyway, I came across a link there called ‘ **Love Crusades** ’ - ‘this is going to be interesting’ I thought to myself, so I click on ‘ **Love crusades** ’, and what did I get… HTTP 404 - File not found Internet Explorer The page cannot be found The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. I think that says about all that needs saying. ---

Phelps is neither heterosexual, or homosexual. All he ‘loves’ is hatred. May the Builder that created him have mercy on his soul…for I can not. ---

I’ve seen many a thread opened on this board regarding this guy and Jack Chick, and frankly, I’d never heard of them before. Just reading the _posts_ gave me more information about them than I care to have. Out of curiosity I went to the FP site listed in the OP thread for the first time just now. I won’t _ever_ go back. _Ever_. Why would anybody? He actually posts the number of days that Matthew Shepard has supposedly been in hell. That truly sickens me and I physically cringed when I read that. What kind of God would countenance such vile, repulsive hatred? Not the God I know. Yes, I do believe in the existence of evil. These two people _feel terribly, horribly evil_ to me. My parents taught me as a child “garbage in, garbage out”. I believe it. I won’t ever look at anything having to do with these two people again. I think true evil sickens the soul, and they’ve proved it. Ugh. Bastards. Sick bastards. Damn. ---

'Cause normally what you get is a list of places he’s going to picket- many of them funerals. Last week it was a man who died on one of the hijacked airplanes who he heard was gay. His friends and family need to be told he’s in hell now. I wish I were making this up and there were depths even Fred could not sink to but I’m not. See, this is why I can’t totally agree with people who say just ignore him, he’s a nut. Sure he’s a nut and even other nuts don’t take him seriously, but those families may have a hard time ignoring him on what’s already the worst day of there lives. (Oh yeah, no funerals schedualed in the Love Crusades this week. Just a celebration of Matthew Shepard’s “entry into hell”. Fuck, he’ll probably try to call Matt’s mom up. Evil, evil, evil.) ---
