Dickish indeed. I came here precisely to blow off some steam about that. **Johnny Hildo** , IIUC, periodicals (magazines and newspapers) don’t get charged sales tax. It has nothing to do with content. You’re not entitled to add on a surcharge for the ones you feel are “unworthy.” This is one of those rare times I miss the “Putz!” smiley. ---

[/QUOTE] It _isn’t_ a lot of money, but I still suspect that it was fraudulent. Certainly, it was terminatable offense - clerks don’t get to just make up whatever prices they want to. ---

Watch an interview or two of his - that oughta help you. Or blow a blood vessel with the pressure of screaming at the television - “Do some research, you fossil! This is Stephen Hawking you’re interviewing - quit asking him how he feels about being in a wheelchair! Quit asking him how he feels about not being able to do any more Superman movies!” I’m confused about something else - I thought the Westboro Baptist Church was a gag site, like The Onion. 😕 Am I thinking of a different gag church site? By the way, for a bit of a chuckle, [here’s a link to a Canadian church dissociating themselves from the Westboro Baptist Church.](http://www.westborobaptist.ca/) Heh. **featherlou** , I have been within arm’s reach of Fred Phelps, while counter-picketing. Before one local church got their individual injunction against the WBC, the Phelp’s would be on the sidewalk just outside. It would be one of us, one of them, one of us, one of them, and so on. Fred would walk up and down the sidewalk, speaking, pretending he was preaching. But boy was he a potty-mouth! I tell you honestly, drunken sailors would blush at some of the stuff he said, although occasionally he would throw in a couple of twisted Bible verses. This may sound strange, but when he passed by I used to think I felt a little chill go with him. The man was seriously scary up close. At Pentecost once I heard the WBC yelling at the folks going into church. Many were wearing something red, the color of fire, symbolizing the Holy Spirit descending on the disciples. There was this little old lady, walking with a cane, wearing a white blouse and a bright red skirt. A guy from the WBC yelled at her how “you’re wearing a red skirt to hide the blood pouring out of your rectum!” You want to know how to drive their blood pressure up, if you ever have to walk past them? Well, a friend of mine and I went to a stage production of “The Rocky Horror Show”. The WBC was outside, and we had to walk past them to get to the theater entrance. So the two of us(both completely straight) walked in as if we were a “couple”. I had my arm around her waist, and we made kissy faces at each other. You should have heard their reaction. I thought a couple of the guys were going to bust a blood vessel! ---
