How’s this for irony: A Kansas law passed specifically to curtail WBC stupid funeral protests will be the very same law that insures no one can picket Phelps’ funeral with in 300 yards. ---

If you want to protest Fred Phelps in a way that can really make an impact consider making a donation to an LGBT charity. When applicable, designate your donation as “In memorial” or “In honor” of Fred Phelps. ---

Ok, I’ve been moderating my comments in threads and on facebook about this. But just to have one moment of giving in to my baser instincts…The asshole should have died 30 years ago, or never been born at all. He’s nothing more than blowhard that should never have been given a national voice. The pain his hatred caused so many people mourning their dead friends and relatives should be felt by his family in equal measure to what they were party to. Fuck the lot of them. ---

In fact, he probably helped the cause of gay rights slightly.
