So it looks like **Bride of Chucky** director Ronny Yu will be directing F vs. J with filming beginning in September. Thoughts? My only one is: “AAAAAHHHHHHH!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! PLEASE GOD NOOOOOOOOOO!” ---

My writing/directing partner and I were up to do this film, some time ago. I’m not saying we were at the top of the list of potential writer/directors; I’m sure we were just one potential in a long list of names. Anyway, not really wanting to have anything to do with this anyway, we told out agent to tell them we’d be interested… only if we could turn it into a musical. For some reason, we never heard back from them. ---

C’mon folks, nobody is saying this is going to be Citizen Kane. Surely there are some of you out there who enjoy seeing this type of hokey movie? I’ll admit that I’ll at least rent this thing. ---

They need to do what they did for the different versions of _Godzilla vs. King Kong_; make two versions where the winner is different. Then for extra kicks, randomly distribute the different versions to the theaters without telling anybody. Fans everywhere will go crazy talking to each other! ---

Ronny Yu is actually a pretty good choice to direct this. Given that it’s going to be, basically, genre schlock made on a low budget to extract a few guaranteed dollars from obsessive fans, bored teens, and nobody else, it might as well be made by a guy who brings some originality to the material. No, _Bride of Chucky_ isn’t a great movie, but at least it brought some unexpected energy to what looked like a tapped-out franchise. His new flick _Formula 51_ (which was called _The 51st State_ when it was scheduled for release last fall) is also supposed to be somewhat mediocre. But for the record, Ronny Yu directed _The Bride with White Hair_, easily one of the ten best movies ever to come out of Hong Kong. ---

That would be a goldmine! I would see **Freddy vs. Jason: The Musical** in a heartbeat. However, I’m pretty sure I won’t be in a hurry to see the film as it is planned right now. ---

Hmmm…this movie’s had the same buzz as **Aliens vs. Predator** for God knows how long. That movie was also picked up by a studio at one point, but never got off the ground. I’m guessing this movie will suffer the same fate. But who knows? **Jason X** was proof that they’re willing to take the franchise and flip it completely around and just have fun with it, so maybe with it’s success (???), it may finally come to fruition. But I’m not holding my breadthe. Just out of curiosity, do you think it will be a fight between the two of them, a one on one slug fest, or more a competition to see how many horny teens they can take down in a three day period? There can be scoreboards and wacky school announcers and dismembered cheerleaders and everything!!! Hmm, I’m actually looking forward to it now. ---

Ahh, I don’t believe it. They’ve been saying this for years. Should it actually come to fruition, with a clever script, I’ll be first in line when it comes out. One of the writers (an earlier script, I guess) said they were moving away from tongue-in-cheek horror. I really hope he was off, 'cause that’s exactly what I want. That, and the two fighting each other. I think at some point I read that Freddy went to the summer camp Jason drowned at (!) but again, that was yeaqrs ago. Christ, what am I doing? I don’t even LIKE these movies very much. Just that one with Corey Feldman, before he found his better half and became Corey-squared.
