Uplay is giving away stuff daily too. Mostly looks like DLC or added content, but I keep grabbing it daily. Building up to games and stuff? So the Xmas giveaways now are: Epic Uplay Anyone else? Is gog giving away games daily? ---

There was a ridiculous “leaked” Epic give-away game list with nothing but AAA titles that was obviously fake. But there was another one that’s proving accurate so far. So if you wanted any of these, you might want to make an extra effort to stay current on the Epic dailies. What a bummer of a list. There is nothing yet to come on there I want except Tropico 5 (I already own Torchlight II and Metro 2033 was a give away of theirs before which I already have). ---

In this case I think it is best to pick it up on Epic for free. Play it and then if you really like it and want all the extra stuff go buy it on Steam. ---

You can link external accounts to the GOG launcher so you’ll know what you’ve bought already. I have Epic and Steam both linked to GOG. It’s very handy! ---

The Long Dark, and Alien: Isolation, are supposed to be quite good. I’ll have to look at the rest of those on the list. I already have Metro, like you. I just can’t get into it. And I loved Stalker. Weird. ---

My copy of Immortals: Fenyx Rising would not load today(I literally was excited to show my kids it all day while I was at work). I launched it from the Epic store and I got the “game can not be activated at this time. Try later” error. I was mad, to say the least. I closed Epic, opened up Uplay. It was in my inventory there and ran fine. I guess Epic games from Ubisoft auto-copy to my Uplay account and NEED to run from their launcher. ---

You’re right. Alien: Isolation is pretty great. I’ve already finished that one too though. But yeah…great suspense/horror game. (Protip: Play it in the dark with headphones on.) ---
