If the CinC wants to have the DoD parading planes over Washington DC all afternoon, that’s what’ll happen. I expect it’ll be very reminiscent of the sort of mass flyovers the Soviets used to trot out for May Day. Or an aerial version of that dumb “tanks through DC” parade he did a few years ago. The only upside to using planes is there’ll be a lot less pavement needing repair afterwards. ---

A question for thread participants: if you were in DC and had convenient transport, would you go gawk at this pitiful excuse for a celebration? I’ve been turning that question over in my mind, and finally decided that yes, I would attend – wearing a shirt that clearly expressed an anti-Trump sentiment of some sort. Or, if such a thing exists, a t-shirt celebrating the opening of the Obama Presidential Library. ---

Showing up with anti-Trump garb would be a good idea, but would give them the fig leaf that this is “open to all Americans,” when of course it’s pure MAGA stupidly and incompetence on display.
