While looking at the [Red Alert Wiki article](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command_%26_Conquer:_Red_Alert) for [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=12096711&posted=1#post12096711), I noticed that the game is freeware now. Does anyone know where it can be downloaded from? I’d do a Google search, but I’m not comfortable downloading executable files from sites that I have no reason to trust.

Also, as I’m no longer running Windows 95, is there anything I should know about getting the program running? Any advice or comments appreciated.

[EA.com](http://EA.com) is probably trustworthy. Not the first time I put a thread here, when googling would have just as good a job.
