P.S. Would it be possible to maybe come up with a frowning ‘putz’ smilie? Perhaps flipping the bird? And maybe saying ‘Fuckin’ Moron!’ insteada ‘putz’? It’d definately be more applicable to threads like this. [sub]A little mohawk would also look pretty cool[/sub] ---

“Rosbif” is in fact mildly insulting (in a French context) - it’s the French equivalent of “Frog”. Aside from the deep insult, how stupid is it to tell dead people to go home? ---

My god, I havn’t heard anyone use that phrase in anything written about later than 1500. Roast Beef. Because, supposedly, that was all brits ate, as well as their tendency to become red and flushed in the face. Pretty much a direct counterpart to ‘Frogs’. ---

“Le Roast-Beefs” is the traditional French term for us Brits, dating back at least as far as the 100 years war. Mildy disparaging , it’s used in the same way as we would refer to the french as “Frogs”. Both insults of course refering to our culinary habits. ---

Oh , hell and death. I thought that was E-sabbath commenting on how we’d given almost identical responses. To respond to jjimm I didn’t think it was clear that the insult referred to Roast beef (you were using Rosbif). I wanted to point out how old the expression was. ---
