Surely it’d be “d’un cul” or “de cul”? D-apostrophe would only be if the word began with a vowel. ---

“Cul” is rather ambiguous, referring to the tail-end of the anatomy. I think _chapeau de fessier_ is a correct translation, and yes, they are everywhere. Le Pen must be pleased. ---

Yes, I just thought it was relevant to explain the age and origin of the insult. (Not just eating, but also the florid nature, mostly apparently because of the british tendency to wear heavy hot things in summer. Mad dogs and englishmen, you see.) ---
