Friday is the thirteenth, gonna make some new plans now that I have told you?-or are youy very superstitious and will you stay in your house the entire day with a flak jacket and a helmet on chanting “can’t sleep, clowns will eat me”? just thought I’d let you all know that it will be Friday the 13th ---

I think I’ll walk to a pet store and pet all the cute little black cats, stepping on every little crack in the road I can find on my way there. I’ll walk under as many ladders as I possibly can and, just for a laugh, I’ll break all the mirrors in my house. But not until I chant “Bloody Mary” a few times first. 😃 ---

I’m really looking forward to the 13[sup]th[/sup]. Sightseeing with the travelling dopers in Dublin and then back to my house for dinner/party. 😃 I’m not superstitious in the slightest so if I trip over a black cat while walking under a ladder and break the mirror I’m carrying on Fri. it won’t really bother me. ---

Friday is also my birthday. It hasn’t fallen on a Friday in a long time, since it skipped the last one (leap year). I’m not a superstitious man. Besides, Joseph-Beth Booksellers has its annual 20% sale that day, and I’ll have birthday cash, so I can’t stay in the house. 🙂 Dr. J ---

I must also point out that it is not only Friday the 13th, but there will be a full moon, and it is occurring in October (the month of Halloween), during the year 2000 (which everyone knows means the end of the world because it’s a big round number). Which is to say, that I will treat it as every other day on the calendar. ---

IIRC it is also a harvest moon. Great nite for ritual magick if your into that. But you all surely remember that it is Saturday the 14th that is the bad day. I haven’t seen that movie forever! ---
