# Friend died of cancer today. His birth-father died of cancer when he was 2-3 years old. His Mom remarried a few years later. Her second husband adopted him and they had two more kids. He had no memory of his birth father and his adopted father was a 100% dad to him. I don’t know what kind of cancer his birth father died from, but my friend developed throat cancer. Not a smoker, drinker, or anything else. Just happened. He could not speak the last 3-4 months. Terrible pain just to take breaths. He was married for 20 years and was only 43 years old. He has an 11 year-old daughter, too. I can’t imagine how sad this is for her. Her mom’s great, though. Great guy, great family, great life. Sad to see it end so soon. ---

So sorry. We lost my brother in law to cancer at about that age a few years ago. It was horrible - and it still is horrible, though not raw. ---
