I have a friend who wants to explore a wide range of political blogs. I told him that you folks are the smartest people on the planet. Well, there’s Daily Kos on the left and Red State on the right, with Samizdata on the libertarian side. That should get him started. ---

The [Daou Report](http://daoureport.salon.com/default.aspx#681047b5-5fdd-41b8-84c1-eddf03649d8d) has a daily round-up from political blogs on both sides. (I think you have to sit through an ad to view if you’re not a Salon subscriber) ---

I’ll add Instapundit and [Eschaton](http://atrios.blogspot.com/) to Quartz’s excellent suggestions. Most of these blogs have blogrolls, or a list of links to blogs they like on their pages. Your friend can visit them and the blogs they link to in posts. ---
