I hate ties. I hate long sleeve shirts, even more. You are entitled to you opinion, I’m entitled to think its dumb and a really stupid way to judge people by. ---

I’m all about sensible work-fashion. Most ‘grown up’ businesses the corporate culture is slacks, dress shirt (long sleeve), no tie and always roll your sleeves up a notch or two. Sometime a tie is classy at work, I like that. But a big ‘no-no’ is a short sleeve dress shirt… adult men shouldn’t wear these (just like shorts). ---

Ties with short sleeves are great. It helps me identify the missionaries and Amway salesmen. ---

Short sleeves, necktie. Hmmm. Sounds like an English teacher in Bangkok. On the few occasions I’ve worn a tie here, it’s mostly been with a short-sleeved shirt, because they simply don’t make long-sleeved shirts here with sleeves my length. Or they didn’t; _now_, when I wear a tie maybe once a decade, there are a couple “Big & Tall” options, but even then it’s difficult to find long sleeves. The Thais just don’t believe humans could possibly have arms my length. ---
