I did not expect them to follow Olivia so much. They have not even switched back over to our universe yet. So far, a pretty intriguing episode. I like seeing more and more of the other world. Apparently, JFK is alive in their world(it was on the radio in the cab). ---

I read a preview of the season, and it mentioned that the credits at the opening of the show will let us know what universe we are in. The original blue tint for the original world and the red tint tonight for the world of Walternate, and Fauxlivia!! ---

I was calling it Earth Prime and Earth Two, I think. ETA: We need to get back to freak of the week and more Walter - that was pretty boring last night. I watched half, then went and took a shower. ---

I certainly won’t argue against more Walter. But I find myself much more engaged with the parallel universe arc than I did when it was just freak of the week. I loved last night’s episode, with its crazy, paranoid vibe. Plus it was good to see Bubbles from the Wire. ---

Yeah, I was somewhat underwhelmed with the episode, because the best part of the show is the interaction between Olivia, Peter and Walter. Next week should be better for that since we’ll have 2 of the 3 plus a wrench in the mix. ---

Does Walternate really think Olivia won’t reassert herself instead of thinking she’s Olvialt at some point, with disastrous results for him? Alt-verse things I noticed: Dogs the musical, and that animated billboard touting daytrips to the moon. And the aforementioned JFK thing. Why was the cabbie waiting around at the end like that? Is there something up with him? ---

What I’ve been wondering is if Walternate really thinks their universe is in danger from ours, or if he’s just using that as an excuse to be a jerk because Walter took his son? I don’t get the feeling from his mannerisms that he’s being honest when he brings out that reasoning to his subordinates. Thoughts? ---

This was probably the most boring episode of Fringe to date. Very little Walter, and Peter was literally only in for two minutes ☹ ---

I was disappointed that the real Olivia didn’t make it home. But I’m one of those weirdos who like stand alone episodes with only a background of over-arching plots, instead of back-story 24/7. There is no doubt in my mind that Olivia is only temporarily (or even pretending to be) snookered by her alternate existence. But Peter-- how long before he realizes that’s not the Olivia he thinks he loves? ---

Please, we need to settle on names I think we can all agree on “Walternate” for the other world Walter, but we need to agree on either “Fauxlivia” or “Olvialt”. Since numerous articles I have read in print publication refer to her as “Fauxlivia” and seem to imply that the writers refers to her as such!!! ---

Only one person, Walter, had ever crossed over to his universe and that was many years ago and was unlikely to ever happen again. ---

I was happy to see Lincoln didn’t die. I’m guessing with the advanced tech in this universe, his burn scars will eventually heal. Good to see Charlie too. I wonder if this was the plan for him all along If so, did they not tell the actor, or was he playing along? I was annoyed with the initial scene with the therapist, but the suggestion that it was written to be exposition makes it more palatable. Overall a good episode though. I liked the alt-Fringe opening credits (I guess they will alternate between red and normal every other week), and the alt-universe touches (Amber protest, zepplins, Kennedy, show-me, moon flights). I guess Star Wars was the same since they mentioned the Jedi mind trick. I found Peter’s debriefing to be somewhat unsettling. Did they really expect him to stay there as a covert agent when his team came to retrieve him without at least coming back to report? I had to wonder why Olivia bothered with Massive Dynamic. If it existed, it would be where Bell was, and if it didn’t exist, it still made the most sense to go where Bell was. Granted Bell was gone, but surely he had a shitload of resources, and had some kind of contingency plan that included Olivia being stuck there.
