^ That’s actually pretty funny.
IIRC, Roseanne (in the sitcom of the same name) also had a Bavarian accent.
Johnny_L.A:
Ein bayerisches Mädchen sagt, ‘Kuss mir, Kasimir!’
Kasimir sagt: ‘Nicht “mir”; “mich”! ’
Die Bayerische Mädchen sagt, ‘Kuss mir, Kasimich!’
(In my high school German class, it was explained that ‘mir’ was sometimes used in Bavaria where ‘mich’ should have been used. Apparently, the quoted exchange is a ‘Bavarian joke’.)
That just reminded me of good old Poldi “Ich will Dir fressen ”

I’ve noticed something similar coming the other way: apparently Japan has its own regional accent that denotes hillbilly hayseeds. Frequently a character in an Anime will be voiced with such a accent as a quick shorthand way of giving their character.
When the dub those anime into English, it seems they almost always give that character a Texas accent.
So if you are watching a dubbed anime, and there’s a character with a Texas accent, that’s supposed to tell you that they are stupid. Which hardly seems fair to Texas.
