I have something saved in iTunes that I need to edit in Audacity. HOWEVER, when i play the iTunes thing and just leave Audacity on ‘stereo mix’ i get inteference, and when i do same, with other Audacity settings, i get no signal input. I can’t see any kind of window for me to drag and drop, and when i drag and drop from itunes to the Desktop, all i get is an icon.
Can somebody tell me the quick and simple way to get a song from iTunes to Audacity?
thanks,
hh

Can iTunes export as a .wav file? or MP3? (the latter being less preferrable)

Select “Show Song File” in iTunes.
Duplicate the file.
Open duplicate in Audacity; edit.
Delete original from iTunes library.
Drop duplicate back into iTunes to re-add to library.
