Does anyone have any experiences, good or bad, with ordering fruit by mail? I’m thinking of a fruit-of-the-month type deal as well as one-time buys. ---

The Harry and David pears are really, really good. And really, really expensive, more than I would ever pay for a pear. ---

Luckily for me, my sweet ole mum sends me their baskets for damn near every occasion, so I get my pear fix about 3-4 times a year. ---

Don’t mean to be redundant, but yes, Harry & David fruit is excellent, and way way way too expensive for me to buy other than for a gift for my mom once a year. ---

I have had excellent experiences with [gotfruit.com](http://www.gotfruit.com/) for the past 5 years now. We use them here at work to send gifts out this time of year, and we receive gift boxes/baskets from them. One co-worker received a ‘fruit of the month’ gift and raved about it. The quality of the fruit is always excellent. Really, just perfect. Pristinely packaged and always delicious. A little pricey, but definitely worth it. ---

To add to the pear love, I never liked pears until I had Harry & David pears. Those are like a different food altogether. No idea about their apples, though. I can get such good apples here; I can’t bear to spend that much on them via mail.
