…Babale is just demonstrating how weak and pathetic the IDF really are. They’ve spent nearly two years bombing the hell out of Gaza. They kill on average 100 people a day, including women, children, _babies_. Sometimes there is so little remains left of their kids parents are forced to scoop them up in plastic rubbish bags. They’ve flattened Rafah. Attacked every hospital in the strip multiple times. Forced most of the population into concentration zones which makes up less than 20% of the land. They had Gaza under a total siege for months, not even letting in baby formula, and now are only letting in a trickle of food and when Palestinians try to get it, they risk getting shot and killed. And yet: it sounds like they haven’t touched Hamas _at all_. Babale will have you believe that if Israel ended the war now, Hamas would still be at the same strength as they were in 2007. How pathetic is the Israeli army? They are nothing but _bullies_. They can beat up shopkeepers in the West Bank. Snipe children in Gaza. But are incapable of taking out Hamas or rescuing the hostages. How pathetic. The deal on the table is a workable one. But its clear that people like Babale don’t want peace. They want the pain and the misery to continue. It isn’t about security. Its about revenge. ---

Whether something is an atrocity is relevant, and whether the government conducting the war approves of atrocities is also relevant. And yes, sometimes atrocities happen even when the government involved has the best of intentions. And do you know what happens then? The people who committed the atrocities get arrested and imprisoned for a long time, at the least. When atrocities happen, and everyone can see them happening, and the government in charge of the perpetrators just gives them an official censure, that means that the government in charge approves of atrocities.
