These pods seem like a good idea, but they’re probably not; it’s actually better to let people freeze their tits off next to one of those heater lamp thingies. These bubbles actually give virus particles a chance to accumulate enough to infect the diners who come in afterward. Not in any way directing this at you, but I see shit like this and it frustrates me. The first weapon we have against this virus is our knowledge, and it’s clear people are just pulling “solutions” out of their asses without doing research, without reading, without keeping up with the latest science. If small businesses like this want to avoid shutdowns, the least they could do is be part of the solution and not (potentially) part of the problem. ---

The worse answer is the standard _the greedy and the ignorant_ dynamic. Maybe the restaurant owner _does_ know better but thinks it’s a smart marketing play in a difficult business climate. After all, to some people, the dining igloo _has the veneer of_ being good public health policy. ---
