They touched on this matter, and how various ‘hate speech’ laws somehow didn’t seem to apply when it came to moslems printing up stuff about Israel. Funny that. ---

These include advertising products. However I am perfectly free to advertise away from the SDMB. I wouldn’t call this a restriction on free speech. I don’t understand what you mean above by referring to the SDMB rules, then quoting an example of phoning the White House. Where I come from, a poster who makes an assertion backs it up. it’s called ‘fighting ignorance’. 😃 Incidentally, you do realise that, as posted above, you are encouraging me to commit an illegal act?! ---

Nothing listed in the OP would violate those laws. True, if it were an American station, it’s license \*might not \* be renewed, but that’s a different matter. And I’ll confess I don’t have any knowledge of French broadcasting laws. What I post here is based solely on US "public speech’ laws and my non-lawyerly understanding of them. Eh, for the hell of it, “Fuck France!” Just keep making _Drakkar Noir._ I love that shit! ---

I can say “Cousin Bob, I wish you were dead.”, and that is not a problem. If you say it about the president to the whitehouse, well, sure the secret service is going to come down on your ass. But other than investigating you to death, tell me what they are actually going to charge you with. ---
