And she just got evicted from the building where her club was at. Evidently she partnered up with another group to rent a building. Full disclosure: My knowledge of Alaska is limited to one Love Boat cruise and a bunch of TV. Which really means, “I have almost none”. It does seem appropriate that there are several “reality” shows set in AK right now. The folks seem especially “colorful”. ---

The really stupid part about those Alaska shows is that they’re usually filmed on the outskirts of some town, so “survival” means being out of bean dip at the 7-11. There was one show several years ago that I guess didn’t make it to season two. They dropped people in several locations that were fairly remote, with very little to sustain them. They had guns and the means to make fishing lines, and some basics like a bag of potatoes, some peanut butter, etc. It wasn’t a bad show, other than some of the idiotic things these people did that jeopardized their lives. They also had a safety net Our standing joke whenever we saw some criminal on the lam in the lower 48 was that we’d be seeing him at Costco shortly. A significant number of criminals running from the law show up in Anchorage. ---
