Whatever Arrieta said, I’m sure it wasn’t a magical incantation that forced them to run out of the dugout and make fools of themselves. And wrt why Rodriguez was particularly incensed, maybe it was because he got pulled for a pinch hitter on his FIRST at bat? Fuck the Pirates, and fuck anyone who sticks up for their behavior last night. I grew up rooting for Pittsburgh, but if that’s how they’re going to act they can have another 20 losing seasons for all I care. ---

I’m sure Maddon or Bosio, and maybe Montero, were heading to Arrieta right quick to make sure he didn’t do or say something (with Jeff Nelson right in front of him pushing his chest) that got him thrown out of the game. ---

Their pitching staff was too good. Not enough baserunners. Good pitching staffs almost never have a lot of double plays. Tinker, Evers and Chance really were great fielders. ---
