Hey, I didn’t say the words didn’t mean the exact same thing (they do). I didn’t say that they were as ignorant of the word “poo-poo” as I was either (and I’m not that ignorant of it - I just never heard anyone use the word outside of TV. But I, and eveyone else I knew did use “boo-boo” as a child). I’m just letting you know they didn’t make up an entire new word in some corny attempt to mimic another, and the fact that you didn’t know that means you shouldn’t even be worrying about that song in the first place. ---

An excellent point…and I feel compelled to point out (yet) again that I have no particular problem with Outkast in general, or with that song in particular. I came into this thread more or less to say to **PaulFitzroy** that if he had a problem with Outkast he should check out L’il Kim. I’ve even said I like Outkast (you know…the Earth, Wind & Fire comment, etc.?), but for some reason people (like you) keep dragging me back into arguments over Outkast due to some comment or other I made on the side. (Boy, the arguments one gets into around this place.) 😉 ---

Thanks, I think I understand better now what you’re trying to say. If I’m correct, you’re saying that “boo-boo” in black culture means the same as poo-poo (I can hardly keep a straight face as I’m typing this…jeez, the discussions that go on here. 🙂 ), and that Outkast wasn’t trying to be coy…they were just using their vernacular to, in effect, say the same thing as poo-poo. Six of one; a half-dozen of the other, in other words? Am I right? (I hope so. I don’t think I can take much more of this discussion.) 😃😃😃😃 ---

I got a real kick of Big Boi on MTV’s Cribs. He’s really a pretty funny and good-natured guy. But he ends almost every sentence with “or whatever.” When he got to his daughter’s room, he said something along the line of “This my daugter’s daughter’s room. Her name is Kaylie or whatever.” Disclaimer: I don’t remember his daughter’s actual name. Kaylie is most likely not it but I had call her something for the sake of the story. It’s jounalistic license, so to speak. 😛 ---

I think **Pizzabrat** is trying to say that “boo-boo” is black slang for “poo-poo,” but he’s so flustered trying to condescend to me about listening to a song that I apparently shouldn’t be listening to even though it’s played 150 times a day on every radio station I know of, that it’s hard to tell for sure. But I think that’s it. ---

I did a Google search on the lyrics, and the first page of results is split 50/50 poo-poo / boo-boo. I just think it’s a shit song.
