WHY do I have to be a racist to feel uneasy about something? I was pissed. I’m not going ot apologize for feeling passionate about something. And what you said…
About the bad Bush stuff.
Oh, now, did you say, “Jeepers, I’m a little uneasy about this Dubia Ports deal”? No, you didn’t. I believe what you said was…oh, yes, here it is:
The Arab Nation running 6 major ports in the USA WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THAT???WE ARE SO FUCKED!!! Why doesn’t he just MOVE there is he thinks those primitive assholes are so great?
I don’t recall asking you to apologize for anything, but if you were to consider doing so, you would be better served by apologizing for being a bit of a jerk. IMO.
Thats the second time you have posted a word with the letters in wrong order. First sign of a crack problme.
I note that your location is Canada. Women who have married/had affairs with Muslim men in the US say they change a great deal once they get you on their home turf. I would take their wonderful sensitivity with a huge container of salt.
And I would take the horrible behaviour of those Muslim men with a huge container of salt as well.
There are bad and good men among Muslims, just as there are among Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Jainists, and Oggists (Oglers?).
Props on the Real Genius reference.
Wait for the annual spring flooding?
Oh, yeah: Fuck, fucker, fucking, fucked, fuckity-fuck-fuck fuckaroo, fuckabunga, fing fang fuck.
I forgot “banana fana fo fuck.”
In the interest of fighting ignorance (remember how we do that?), I’ll just point out that Dubai in particular, and the UAE in general, are far and away the most westernized of the Arab nations. Women have more rights there than pretty much anywhere else in the region.
Oh, I see. He gets props and I don’t, even though he riffed off my comment?
Well, fuck you, you fucking fuck fucker!
:smack:
And your reference was even the first reply to the OP. My bad.
And for our hypocritical, generalizing, racist** liberal **fuck of the day, we’ve highlighted, Evil Captor, a stupid sum-bitch that can’t get his rocks off unless his woman has her limbs tied down to the bedposts complaining about people sharing their own positive experiences with Arab men.
Anyway, back to your original thread…
I was actually going to post an opposite OP when this first came out about dumbass congresscritters complaining because, “some filfthy Ay-rabs is gonna’ be runnin’ our ports!”
Oh, and yes, getting an, “uneasy feeling” about a situation because of the race of someone involved is, despite your idiotic claims to the contrary, racism.
In case some of you morons were unclear as to what the home-nation of these, “desert tribal people” look like, how about a little gallery of the UAE:

From the CIA World Factbook:
“The UAE has an open economy with a high per capita income and a sizable annual trade surplus. Its wealth is based on oil and gas output (about 30% of GDP), and the fortunes of the economy fluctuate with the prices of those commodities. Since the discovery of oil in the UAE more than 30 years ago, the UAE has undergone a profound transformation from an impoverished region of small desert principalities to a modern state with a high standard of living. At present levels of production, oil and gas reserves should last for more than 100 years. The government has increased spending on job creation and infrastructure expansion and is opening up its utilities to greater private sector involvement. Higher oil revenue, strong liquidity, and cheap credit in 2005 led to a surge in asset prices (shares and real estate) and consumer inflation. Any sharp correction to the UAE’s equity markets could damage investor and consumer sentiment and affect bank asset quality. In April 2004, the UAE signed a Trade and Investment Framework Agreement (TIFA) with Washington and in November 2004 agreed to undertake negotiations toward a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the US”
“The Trucial States of the Persian Gulf coast granted the UK control of their defense and foreign affairs in 19th century treaties. In 1971, six of these states - Abu Zaby, 'Ajman, Al Fujayrah, Ash Shariqah, Dubayy, and Umm al Qaywayn - merged to form the United Arab Emirates (UAE). They were joined in 1972 by Ra’s al Khaymah. The UAE’s per capita GDP is on par with those of leading West European nations. Its generosity with oil revenues and its moderate foreign policy stance have allowed the UAE to play a vital role in the affairs of the region.”
It’s like Huricane Katrina, every once in a while something comes along to remind you that you live in a racist world.
sigh
Folks it’s the UAE, specifically Dubai, one of the least objectionable regimes in the Gulf ( such as they are ). They are U.S. allies, they don’t fund terrorists, they’re not ultra-conservative Wahabis like their neighbors in Saudi Arabia, and they’re not a tribal theocracy.
Granted they aren’t a liberal democracy, either. But as monarchies go, they’re fairly easy going.
All they are interested in is business and profits - Dubai has long been the financial and trade hub of the UAE - they have ( quite wisely ) deliberately diversified their economy in preparation for their oil running out ( which it will in a few years ). And if anyone is worried about Arab infiltrators, they can rest easy - the UAE uses imported labor at home, let alone anywhere else. The only Arabs that are ever going to visit those ports from the home company are going to be a few guys in suits. For that matter much of the UAE industry is itself run by American and European ex-pats under contract.
There is really very little reason for anyone to get their panties in a twist over this.
There you go, bringing a discordant note of unwanted reality into the discussion. Why do you hate America?

This from the guy who can’t stop talking about how he gets off on rape scenes in movies?
Note-Not Without My Daughter is not a valid source of information on Muslims.
You and I both - there’s a lot of chatter (and hysteria) on both the left and right end of the blogosphere on this issue.
Except for both Dem and Repub politicians who want to score points with the public by playing on its fears and prejudices.
Of course, I suppose people could get their panties in a twist over port operations on the west coast, where COSCO (a state-owned Chinese firm) conducts port operations (especially in Long Beach/LA). But I guess mistrust of “Commies” have fallen off the radar to be replaced by Arabs as the new American boogeyman
You know, I’ve thought about this and I’ve realized something: Dubai took Michael Jackon off our hands. Frankly, this is the least we can do.
What specifically are you referring to? Generally, that’d wrong too, though.
To be fair, he’s talked about it a lot less recently. But yeah, irony central.
She has her limbs tied down to the bedposts complaining about people sharing their own positive experiences with Arab men? That’s some kinda kinky right there.
