TMZ is now reporting that neither Debbie Rowe nor Jackson are biologically related to the kids. And that Jackson never adopted them. I have no strong feelings one way or the other about the man. I certainly reacted like most people when the child molestation charges were made. However, I know someone who knew him (a business only relationship) back in the 80s. They said that there was no way he was guilty of the molestation charges, and were so firmly convinced of it, I really had to rethink my position. The fact that he paid off his accusers does not automatically mean he was guilty. Hell, Disney is notorious for slinging copyright infringement lawsuits that have no legal ground to stand on, but the constant legal harassment works just as well as a court ruling. It’s just as likely that MJ’s attorneys recommended coming to a settlement just to get the people to shut up and leave him alone. What is known for sure is that he was an extremely talented man who died at the end of a long decline. Rather like Elvis, really, except MJ was a better dancer. As for the rest, until more compelling evidence comes forward, that’s about all I’ll care to remember. ---
