It was misused so often in the past that, when it finally came to the US, “fascist” was just seen as an insult to many. **And the most common cry of those who refused to vote for Harris is that both parties are fascist.** So, while your anger is understandable, it isn’t helpful. The OP at least was just venting. You are actively alienating people. You are letting your righteous indignance get in the way of doing anything to solve the issue that is upsetting you.
