If Trump wins this thing it’ll be because of voters like @Crafter_Man. They don’t care about the future welfare of the country as a whole. They only care about their own self-righteousness. It’s the height of selfishness. ---

No, I didn’t say you were selfish because you don’t like either candidate. Way to put words in my mouth BTW… You’re selfish because you can’t see past the end of your own nose far enough to see the bigger picture. Elections are a binary choice in this country. In this election in particular one candidate will preserve democracy, the other will take us further down the road to fascism. You decided to sit this one out. Your prerogative of course. But don’t act like you’re taking a principled stand because your not. “A pox on both their houses” just leads to everyone getting sick. ---

A text exchange with my sister. Me: I’m dissappointed so many Americans want an autocrat in office. But to add salt to the wound, it’s just plain embarrassing the autocrat they chose is a whiny, crybaby who couldn’t tell the truth if you held a gun to his head. Sister: The alternative was worse. Me: The alternative didn’t launch a false elector scheme or send a mob to prevent votes from being counted. Everyone who voted for Trump sent a resounding message: Fuck democracy. I’m with you. Fuck Trump and his followers. When the leopard’s start eating their faces they won’t get one ounce of sympathy from me. ---

As of right now, Day One Dictator has clinched 214 electoral votes while the candidate who has promised to follow the rule of law and also to have members of the opposing party in her cabinet has garnered 179 electoral votes. If you still have time to vote, maybe it’s a good idea to go do it.
